If you don't yet have a Web site for your practice or feel you don't have the skills or the time to set one up, the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) wants to help. AAFP offers a free member Web site program that provides secure patient-to-physician communication applications online. Members can build a free Web site for their practice with features that are branded and customized specifically for their practice.

The AAFP program, partnered with Medfusion, Inc, offers an array of graphic templates and choice of domain name. Web pages that can be created include welcome page, bio page, insurance plan page, locations and directions page, notice of privacy page, patient education and health tips from AAFP, and a contact page. The free site also comes with a trial period of Medfusion’s content management system. For more information, visit www.aafp.org.
