Google Empowering Healthcare Workers

If the economy has your practice or office looking for ways to pinch pennies, Google has a few ideas.

If the economy has your practice or office looking for ways to pinch pennies, Google has a few ideas. It is hosting a free webinar on Wednesday, December 10, to teach healthcare professionals how Google tools can save dollars.

Google Health has been around for a while. It is a Web service hosted by Google that helps patients to organize their health information in one place, gather their medical records from doctors, hospitals, and pharmacies, keep their doctors up-to-date about their health, and to be more informed about important health issues that they may face.

If you're unfamiliar with Google Health, I suggest you take a tour for it here: Google Health.

Google knows that healthcare providers are turning to the Web for a growing number of resources that help them find the information they seek. Using the health initiatives and solutions for businesses of all kinds can help bring exactly the kinds of productivity gains and cost reductions to healthcare providers. Google also said that it is "committed to harnessing the power of the web to help people everywhere effectively manage their health care records and information in a private, secure online setting."

Google is offering a webinar to teach healthcare professionals how to use its tools to more effectively run their practices and offices. The topics to be covered include:

  • The latest on Google Health, which enables patients, providers, and hospitals to organize health information securely and cost effectively.
  • The ways that Google Search Appliance provides fast, secure, and accurate access to all kinds of information inside your healthcare business —even data stored in most legacy repositories.
  • A look at how Google's message security and archiving tools block email threats and deliver easy to use archiving at a fraction of the cost of other solutions.
  • A case study from Nathan Sackett at Boorks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk, New York.

Google hopes you'll participate. You can sign up for the Webinar here
