Patient Education: The Management of Pain

The American Society of Anesthetologists (ASA) addresses numerous concerns that patients might have regarding acute, chronic, cancer, pre- or post-operative pain. In addition to exploring the reasons someone should seek the services of an anesthesiologist and pharmacological and non-pharmacological methods for pain management, the site houses 20 ASA-produced patient education brochures (available in English, Spanish, and Portuguese) that you can use to supplement pain management discussions with your patients.
