Put Synergy to Work

I have come to love the word “synergy.” It has such great potential for the business of medical practice. Synergy is defined as the interaction of two or more agents or forces so that their combined effect is greater than the sum of their individual effects.

The dictionary continues to define it as “cooperative interaction among groups, especially among the acquired subsidiaries or merged parts of the corporation that creates an enhanced combined effect.” Simply stated, the team accomplishes more than each employee individually.

When your employees learn to work as a team, they will be feed off the energy of one another. As a team, they are more likely to help each other and willingly cover other’s jobs when necessary. When employees get along, they work better and the beneficiary of the team spirit is the patient and the practice as a whole.

Put “synergy” in your practice and see the great effect.
