Review Your Mission Statement

Article

When was the last time you reviewed your mission statement? Does it still reflect the views and goals of your medical practice?

Your mission statement should convey the purpose and values of your practice or business. It should be a clear, concise statement with measurable criteria, including the position you want to establish.

Included in your statement, should be who your practice is; what you do, what you stand for, and why you do it.

A sample mission statement might be: “The physicians and their staff of ______ practice will provide excellent medical care for each patient physically and emotionally. We will strive to exceed the expectations of our patients.

A mission statement does not have to be long; it just needs to be a clear indication of the values of your practice and the image you want to portray. It defines your practice.
