Diabetes Dialogue: Inside ADA 2022, with Diana Isaacs, PharmD, and Natalie Bellini, DNP

In the fourth and final episode from ADA 2022, hosts Diana Isaacs, PharmD, and Natalie Bellini, DNP, take a deep dive into the meeting from their perspectives as a clinical pharmacy specialist and a nurse practitioner, including their picks for the most exciting advances in diabetes technology to come from the year’s largest diabetes meeting.

For the fourth and final special edition episode from our time at the American Diabetes Association (ADA) 82nd Scientific Sessions, Diabetes Dialogue: Therapeutics, Technology, & Real-World Perspectives, the show returns to its roots and its usual format. In the episode, hosts Diana Isaacs, PharmD, BCPS, BC-ADM, BCACP, CDCES, FADCES, FCCP, and Natalie Bellini, DNP, FNP-BC, sit down and offer their perspectives on the latest advances and clinically relevant discussions taking place at ADA 2022, the first ADA Scientific Session to occur in-person since 2019.

During their time at the meeting, both hosts took part in leading sessions or discussions. For Isaacs, a clinical pharmacy specialist at the Cleveland Clinic, this included serving as chair for a series of oral presentations on advances in insulin delivery systems. For Bellini, an endocrine nurse practitioner this included leading a discussion on implementing time in range into clinical practice during a symposium titled “Is Time in Range the Gold Standard in Glucose Management?”. After these obligations and recording a trio of podcast episodes, with guests including Jasmine Gonzalvo, PharmD, Gary Scheiner, MS, CDE, and Tamara Oser, MD, and Sean Oser, MD.

In their episode, Isaacs and Bellini take a deep dive into the meeting from their perspectives as a clinical pharmacy specialist and nurse practitioner, including their picks for the most exciting advances in diabetes technology to come from the year’s largest diabetes meeting as well as firsthand perspective of other highlights from the conference floor.
