Key Information for Attendees of the APA 163rd Annual Meeting

The APA's 163rd Annual Meeting features more than 500 scientific sessions, including guest lectures, new research poster sessions, networking opportunities, and as many as 58 CME credits.

With the theme "Pride and Promise: Toward a New Psychiatry," the meeting will combine new science with clinical advances to make a program that APA President Alan F. Schatzberg, MD feels is stronger than ever. The best psychiatrists from around the world were invited to present their work in special lectures, scientific symposia, workshops, and other interactive sessions.

Star Wars

Special events for this year's meeting include and address from Convocation speaker Carrie Fisher, of fame, and an interactive discussion with four-time Super Bowl champion quarterback Terry Bradshaw.

Meeting RegistrationIt's certainly too late for advanced registration, but information for on-site registration--open noon to 5:00PM on Friday, 7:30AM - 4:00PM Saturday - Sunday, and 7:30AM - 2:00 on Wednesday--can be found here.

Exhibitor InformationCheck out the list of 2010 exhibitors and view the exhibitor hours. An exhibit hall reception will be held for all registrants on May 24 for 12:30-1:30PM.

Convocation Speaker - Carrie FisherThis year's Convocation speaker is Carrie Fisher, who played Princess Leia in the Star Wars film series and just completed a major run of an autobigraphical one-woman show, Wishful Drinking.

Conversations with... Terry BradshawOn May 25, an interactive discussion will take place with four-time Super Bowl champion quarterback Terry Bradshaw, who will speak about his experiences with depression.
