Despite the expanded contest time horizon, it is never too early to sign up for the next edition. Log on to www.pmdnet.com to enter Doc's Stocks #13, which will be the first contest of 2005.

CONTEST RULES: Each physician must select a portfolio of five stocks (one share each) from the major US stock exchanges or Nasdaq (excluding the bulletin board) to be tracked and published in over a 6-month period (also excluded are mutual funds, foreign exchange-traded stocks, and options). The three contestants whose portfolios have performed best (based on percentage) at the 4 PM eastern time market close on the final business day of the 6th month will be awarded American Express gift certificates (first place: $500; second place: $300; third place: $200). is not responsible for calculation errors that occur due to stock splits or mergers, and the publisher is sole judge of contest results.
