MedJet protectsmembers who become sick or injuredwhen traveling in the United States orworldwide. If hospitalized at least 150miles from home, the MedJet emergencyteam in Birmingham, Al, consult with themedical team treating their members.Once members are stabilized, MedJet fliesthem home aboard a medically equippedand staffed jet and takes them to the hospitalof their choice. Some other programsand credit cards offer to evacuatetravelers to the nearest hospital (often fora fee) in case of a medical emergency.However, travelers must make their ownway home. A 1-year family membership(up to seven members) costs $295.
