Henry Kaplan, MD, KY Lions Eye Center, University of Louisville School of Medicine, is focusing his efforts on figuring out how to preserve or recover lost central vision in patients with retinitis pigmentosa.

Henry Kaplan, MD, KY Lions Eye Center, University of Louisville School of Medicine, shared at the ARVO 2016 meeting that he and his team had been involved in the research of hereditary retinal diseases such as retinitis pigmentosa, which affects the rod photo receptors in the retina - leading to difficulty seeing in the dark.

Kaplan is currently focusing his efforts on figuring out how they could preserve or recover lost central vision in patients with retinitis pigmentosa.
