Jessica Cohan, MD, from the UCSF School of Medicine said that while information is a good thing, making sure it is the right information is even more important. The two most common surgical options for the condition come with their own challenges and issues for patients and Cohan said it is important to consider all the options and risks when making a surgical decision.
