Safety & Efficacy of Phase-3 Placebo Trial of Celecoxib

Carol Burke, MD, FACG, FASGE, talks about her phase-3 placebo-controlled trial of Celecoxib in pediatric subjects with familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP) at the 2014 ACG Annual Meeting in Philadelphia, PA.

She discusses the safety and efficacy of Celecoxib from monitoring her research findings.

“We did this study to say we have this drug that’s found to be effective in adults and developed this trial with patients 12-17 to see if we could delay the time in polyp progression or the development of cancer,” said Burke.
