While the field of cardiovascular care has seen rapid advances in many subspecialties over the past decade, few have seen the explosion in knowledge that has taken place in regard to transcatheter therapies. Nowhere is this more evident than at the annual Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapies (TCT) conference.

The following video features an interview with Practical Cardiology advisory board member Tsuyoshi Kaneko, MD, surgical director of the Structural Heart Program at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and assistant professor of surgery at Harvard Medical School, related to TCT Connect. A leading expert in transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), Kaneko offers his perspective on data a trio of late-breaking studies from this year’s conference.
