The Life Beyond Cancer Foundation, formerly known as the US Oncology Foundation, has launched its new Website at www.lifebeyondcancer.org. The new site touts an array of resources or patients with cancer throughout the United States, including the latest news in cancer care and financial assistance and support programs. The organization’s mission is to help patients during and after treatment, and since its inception in late 2008, has provided grants to more than 120 families battling cancer to help pay their mortgage and other expenses. “We want to be the resource that helps patients through and beyond their cancer experience,” said Ann Wolford, executive director of the Life Beyond Cancer Foundation, in a press statement. In addition, the organization has led a Life Beyond Cancer Retreat, through which patients with cancer, oncology nurses, and social workers can rekindle their spirits and learn ways to help others in need in their own communities.
