SELLING YOUR HOUSE
With home prices heating up, theprice you think you can get for yourhome may be too low. Before you callin a real estate agent, it helps to knowwhat other homes in your area areselling for. To get an idea, visitwww.realtor.com for a listing of housesfor sale in your town. Comparehouses that are similar to yours. Lookfor houses with the same number ofbedrooms and bathrooms and thesame extras (eg, central air, in-groundpool, fireplaces, etc). If your neighborsare asking more than you thinkyour home is worth for a house that'svery similar, you can probably ratchetup your asking price a notch.
